The Light

Writer's picture: EmilyEmily

This picture says it all.

...

Psychedelics show us a strange, somewhat distorted reflection of ourselves.

Or at least it appears that way at first...

They show us a self that is unfamiliar, uncomfortable, and undercover.

Undercover from years, if not decades or generations, of emotion, trauma, and conditioning.

Conditioning to fit in, in the most efficient and effective way.

...

The truth of who we are usually doesn't fit the ideal that society has laid out for us.

In fact, it's quite the opposite…

In this version of Self, there is no existing ideal to go off of.

And that can feel confusing and cumbersome...

To have to figure out your own life, from the inside, out...

After a lifetime of external influence and direction.

...

As if that beautifully harsh reality weren't enough, there's more…

There is light.

They show us The Light.

The light that we don't ever have to live without.

The light that shines from within each and every one of us…

The light that casts its diversified and individualized reflection out into every corner of this Earth and all its inhabitants.

...

It is through this light that we can perceive life with clarity and discernment.

It is through this light that we can envision our life most beautifully, authentically, and lovingly.

It is through this light that all life exists.

Live your Truth

& Love to All,

Emily
