Burning Man 2023

I've already written pages and pages about my time at Burning Man. Trying to find words for such an experience could never do it justice.

This creation is a portal into a different world. A world where you can feel super high and deeply grounded at the same time. A magical place where time is compressed, emotions flow free, creativity is abundant, and connection is everywhere. These. People. Care.

Here, the trickster energy of the universe is 10 fold - things won’t go your way, then they'll work out better than you could have ever imagined. The playa will break you down just to build you back up. Teaching us acceptance while staying open. Teaching us trust - trust on our path and in our circumstances.

It’s not easy building an entire city in just a few days, then tearing it down, leaving no trace. The line between imagination and creation & creation and destruction is thin. Watching the man burn reminds us about the fragility of life. About the immediacy of our own existence in each passing moment.

The Temple of the Heart could not have been a more appropriate theme for me this year. My only new years resolution was to finally attend the burn and my intention for my year was heart opening. What serendipity! (this is the nature of the playa). She showed me ways in which I’m still deeply guarded and ways in which I can live life more fully by simply making space for ANYTHING to occur.

This is a place of celebration. Celebration of growth, achievement, and hard work. This is a place of play. And where play happens, healing happens too.

If you have an experience that calls to you - go for it. Inside each of us is an internal compass that guides us on a path most beautifully and uniquely designed for us. Following that voice inside is the most valuable relationship, skill, and courageous ability you can cultivate.
