MEET EMILY

Emily Jenkins is a registered nurse with six years of clinical experience, specializing in neuroscience. She’s worked at world-renowned institutions such as Medstar Georgetown University Hospital, University of Maryland Medical Center, and Sheppard Pratt.

Most recently, she's assumed entrepreneurship by establishing her own practice - Bright Ages Integrative Healing.

Her life has taken many different directions. Personally, she’s faced many of life's challenges from an early age - this shaped her professional drive, desire to heal, and help others.

She is a registered yoga teacher (RYT-200), trained with an emphasis in meditation. A lifelong student, Emily continues to study (ancient & modern) medicines, teachings, and practices. She is actively involved in her own spiritual growth through organizations such as The Isha Foundation, Truth is One, and devotion to her holiness, Amma Sri Karunamayi.

Over the past four years she has gained experience in non-ordinary states of consciousness and integration of such. She is Zendo Project trained as a harm reduction volunteer.

She continues to study mysticism and the clinical application of entheogens for treatment of a wide range of physical and mental dis-ease. In 2023 she completed The Essential Guide to Psychedelic Microdosing (40 hrs).

Emily is adventurous, creative, and well-traveled - a student in the school of life!

She now provides forward thinking services to those who are looking for a different path to wellness. Offering solution-oriented coaching. Providing presence, compassion, and clarity. Facilitating change and cultivating confidence. She helps her clients to live a more authentic, healthy, and fulfilled life.

She is calling all millennials who are burnt out, frustrated, stressed, lonely, sad, anxious, etc…

From surviving to thriving… Transformation is possible & the time is now!

HER STORY

Like many of us, Emily has experienced life’s adversities from an early age. Her history with mental illness dates back to early childhood, where she dealt with a learning disability and severe anxiety that impaired her daily living.

In college, after suffering the sudden loss of her father at the age of 18, she fell into a deep depression. Only a few years later, she lost her dear cousin to an overdose.

Her depression continued to worsen - over a ten year period she struggled with debilitating mental illness, self harm, addiction, and suicidality. Having a family history of the aforementioned she thought this was her fate.

She worked with many different providers and practitioners over the years but nothing stuck - therapy, medication, sobriety, and everything in between.

As she was approaching the end of her rope she felt the call to work with Ayahuasca, a sacred plant medicine. Answering this call changed her life.

Since that experience, her life has undergone a complete transformation.

Accompanied by the grace and support of a loving community, she has been able to transition from surviving to thriving.

It’s not without hard work, discipline, and sacrifice that this would have been possible, but in equal measure, her joy, gratitude, and zeal for life is stronger than ever.

Her purpose is to share this experience with anyone who is ready and willing.

Healing is possible.
